Jennie Hall
Jennie Hall serves as the Director of Care & Missions, overseeing congregational care and mission partnerships within our church family. With a deep heart for compassionate presence, Jennie leads teams dedicated to in-home visits, congregational care, and helping ministries, ensuring that no one walks through hardship alone. She also serves as a liaison between our supported missionaries, Free Methodist Global Missions, and our local congregation, helping connect global mission work with the life of our church.
Jennie has served in this role since 2024, bringing with her a lifetime shaped by cross-cultural ministry and faithful service. She gave her life to Christ as a child on the mission field in Africa, where daily examples of sacrificial service and rich relationships across cultures deeply formed her faith. Those early experiences planted a lasting call to care for others and to respond faithfully when God says, “Whom shall I send?”—a calling she continues to answer with the words, “Here am I, Lord. Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
Her journey has included formal study in Christian education and history, graduate work, and 27 years of service at the McPherson Public Library. After retirement, and through years of lovingly caring for her mother during declining health, Jennie sensed God preparing her for a new season of ministry. She followed the Free Methodist credentialing path to become a lay deacon, stepping into broader service with humility and obedience.
Jennie finds the greatest joy in one-on-one connection—listening, praying, and sharing in both the joys and burdens of others. She is continually encouraged by witnessing God’s faithful presence in difficult circumstances and seeing His saving grace at work around the world. One of her favorite verses reflects her heart for ministry: “For we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7)
Jennie is married to her husband Brent, is the mother of two adult children, Lisa and David, and a proud grandmother to five grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, playing the piano, listening to music, and—perhaps surprisingly—watching international rugby tournaments. Her favorite hymn, “Take My Life and Let It Be,” reflects her prayerful desire to live fully surrendered to God’s purposes.
